The Durango Diary was originally published from 1986-1991 in the Durango Herald in the Friday edition.
Each article covered one subject and included a photograph or drawing. The series covered the years from the 1880s into the 1920s,
with a few maverick 1870s articles to set the scene. The articles printed in this volume represent the largest
share of those discussing topics and people from the 1880s and 1890s.
