Submissions

The Durango Herald Small Press strives to work with local and regional authors; publish books about the people, places and events of the Four Corners; and connect people through its publications with the cultural, geographic, historic, and environmental uniqueness of this region.

Our Submission Requirements

We require a completed Durango Herald Small Press Submission Query Form. These forms are available to download by clicking on the icon to the left.

After submission, your query will be reviewed by the Durango Herald Small Press editorial board. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the review process. You will be notified in writing of the review results.

How Do We Decide What to Publish?

To some degree, our decision depends on what we have in the works, and what we have recently published. We try to remain open-minded when considering submissions, knowing of course, that we are only able to publish about 3 books a year. We are not a large-volume publishing house, nor do we wish to be.
